Millums sell a full range of sandpaper or abrasive rolls and sheets. Sandpaper is also known as glasspaper which is paper or cloth coated with an abrasive substance or grit glued to one surface. 40 grit and 60 Grit is coarse sandpaper and is typically used for the removal of previous coatings, for the rough shaping of wood and used to create a textured surface. 80 grit and 120 grit, is medium sandpaper and used to smooth surfaces after filling and to remove marks and for the final shaping work. 150 Grit to 400 Grit is fine to extra fine sandpaper is used for creating a very smooth, polished finish. Fine sandpaper for the removal of minor scratches and extra fine sandpaper is used between coats of paint or varnish to achieve the perfect finish.
